About Jungle Bear Studio

Jungle Bear Studio was founded by Angel Kwong, an illustrator and designer based in Toronto, Ontario. What started a love of doodling and stationery grew into a leap of faith and an online shop. Soon, her watercolour sketches became greeting cards, finding their way into the hands of thoughtful gift-givers across Canada and beyond.

From that first collection, she rediscovered the joy of creating — and the connections that art can spark. In a fast-paced digital world (which we love too!), there's something timeless and nostalgic about receiving a handwritten note in the mail. Jungle Bear Studio wants to bring back that quiet thrill of snail mail — adding a little spark and intentionality to everyday moments and special occasions.

The name Jungle Bear Studio is inspired by the artist's creative space: a compact Toronto condo filled with leafy green plants that stretch to the ceiling — a little jungle in the city — and a nod to her the kindred spirit, the cozy bear.

Each card is made with care and designed to make someone feel seen, loved, and a little more connected. We print primarily with Canadian partners and use recycled materials whenever possible to ensure every piece is thoughtful, beautiful, and a little gentler on the planet.
